David J. Lukinovich

David Lukinovich is a Board Certified Tax Specialist and a Board Certified Estate Planning & Administration Specialist certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. David handles a variety of tax and business matters for partnerships and closely-held businesses, including providing business, corporate, individual and estate tax advice and asset protection planning advice. David has over forty years of experience, first as a Certified Public Accountant, then as an attorney concentrating his practice in tax, business, and estate planning, a great deal of which involves wealth preservation for professionals, business owners and other individuals with ultra-high net worth, business succession planning and exit strategies for closely-held business owners. David is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas but has consulted with clients throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and beyond.

David received his B.S. in accounting from Louisiana State University, his Juris Doctorate (magna cum laude) from Loyola University of the South Law School in 1986, where he served as Managing Editor of the Loyola Law Review, and an LL.M. degree in taxation from New York University. David practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for two years in New Orleans, Louisiana, prior to embarking on a legal career. Additionally, David has served as an adjunct Professor in taxation and probate procedure at Loyola University School of Law and has participated in the planning for the annual Loyola Estate Planning Conference from its inception. David is a member of several professional organizations and serves on the boards of various businesses and charitable foundations, several of which he created as a founding member.

David and his wife, Kim, are the proud parents of seven adult children, all of whom reside in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Carl J. Servat III

Carl Servat is a Board Certified Tax Specialist and a Board Certified Estate Planning and Administration Specialist, certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. He represents high-net worth business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, retirees and families in the preparation of wills, trusts, marital agreements and powers of attorney to address their estate planning needs. He works with clients to accomplish the preservation and efficient transfer of their wealth, including advising clients in the proper use of their Estate, Gift and GST tax exemptions. Carl’s practice also includes advice to executors in complex succession cases and counsel to closely held businesses for planning and structure of sales, acquisitions, buy-sell agreements and general business matters.

Carl received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Loyola University in 1998. He also received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2001 and an LL.M. degree in taxation from Boston University in 2002.

Carl is actively involved in leadership positions in the community. He has served on the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization (2013-2019), the New Orleans Estate Planning Council Executive Committee (2018 Current) and the advisory commission for Estate Planning and Administration Specialists for the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization (2021-Current). He also has served on various advisory councils at Jesuit High School, Loyola University and Louisiana State University. Carl chaired the Jesuit High School Living Endowment Fund in 2008 and served as the President of the Alumni Association at Jesuit High School in 2009.

Carla H. Sibille

Carla Sibille is a Board Certified Estate Planning and Administration Specialist, and her practice focuses on the development, implementation and maintenance of wealth conservation plans for high net worth families. Carla assists clients in the creation of their comprehensive estate plan by drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney to accomplish clients’ goals while maximizing available exemptions and multi generational options. Carla counsels clients through succession administration and probate, buy-sell agreements, corporate compliance, matrimonial agreements and taxation matters.

Carla earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 2002; her Juris Doctor and Bachelor Civil Law from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2005; and her LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law in 2006.

Carla resides with her husband and two children in Ethel, Louisiana.

Kathryn P. Garitty

Kathryn Garitty is a Board Certified Estate Planning and Administration Law Specialist (as certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization). She assists clients with multi generational estate planning through the use of family limited liability companies, trusts and wills. She also advises clients on powers of attorney, charitable gifting, succession administration and federal estate and gift taxation.

Kathryn first worked for the Lukinovich Firm from 1998-2003. In 2003 she took a hiatus to raise her four children, and she returned to Lukinovich APLC in December 2015.

She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, and she received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University in New Orleans.

Amanda P. Sigur

Amanda Sigur practices in the areas of succession administration, probate and multi generational estate planning. Additionally, Amanda advises clients on the preparation of wills, trusts and powers of attorney, as well as the creation and implementation of tax-advantaged wealth conservation plans.

Amanda received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2008 and her Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2011.

Daniel H. Bruni

Daniel Bruni advises clients on matters related to estates, trusts, closely held businesses and the transfer of private wealth. He assists clients in creating and implementing comprehensive estate plans through a variety of established techniques tailored to clients’ planning objectives. Strategies often incorporate the use of wills, trusts and family limited partnerships; high-level tax planning for income, gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxes; life insurance; asset protection; business succession planning; international and cross-border planning; and this extends to the administration of clients’ estates upon death.

Daniel also frequently represents business owners in the sale of their businesses and advises on matters involving reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, transitions among generations or key employees and employment agreements.

Daniel is a board-certified tax law specialist* and has over 14 years of tax and legal experience, having previously practiced law in Montana prior to joining the firm and worked at a big-four accounting firm in Switzerland.

Daniel received a B.A. in English from Louisiana State University (2002), a J.D. from Loyola University, New Orleans (2008) and an LL.M. in Tax from the University of Florida (2013).

Daniel is admitted to the practice of law in Louisiana and Montana and is active in the following organizations:

Caroline G. Cruse

Caroline Cruse practices in the areas of multi-generational estate planning, wealth conservation planning, taxation matters, and business planning for closely held businesses. She learned she was passionate in this area through her experiences with her own family’s jewelry business. Caroline advises clients on estate and tax transfer ramifications and asset protection management and assists them by drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

She received her B.S. in Sports Business from Louisiana State University in 2019 and her Juris Doctorate from Tulane University School of Law in 2023 where she also received a Graduate Diploma in Civil Law.

Caroline earned her LL.M. in Taxation with Honors from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2024 with a Graduate Diploma in Wealth Transfer and Legacy Planning.

Caroline is a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana. She loves to travel and is an avid LSU fan who loves to watch sports.

R. Monique Buras

R. Monique Buras is a paralegal with the firm with over 25 years of paralegal experience. Under the direction of the attorneys in the firm, Monique handles primarily succession (probate) administration, including related real estate and corporate matters as well as federal estate and gift taxation. She is also a non-attorney Notary Public with statewide jurisdiction.

Monique received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Loyola University in 1988. She received a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College (now the University of Holy Cross) in 1993. She then earned an American Bar Association approved post-baccalaureate paralegal certificate from Southeastern Paralegal Institute (now Kaplan College) in Dallas, Texas in 1997.
